The brief was to create copy that would promote Making Magazines and drive ticket sales. I wanted to include context about guest speakers and key information about the event. I decided to feature photography that showcased those involved. I settled on Magalleria as it is an independent magazine shop in Bath.
Keep up-to-date with the latest, milk-approved events on our website. And save the date for April 1st. We have an event in the works that we can't wait to share with you.

Magalleria, if you didn't already know, is a treasure trove of independent publications. Located on Broad Street, they are retailers of fine, independent and specialised magazines.

We are incredibly grateful to have them on board for our first event of the year.
Making Magazines is a celebration of magazine publishing in the South West. This exciting evening will comprise speakers, networking, and pop-up indie shops and showcases in the newly designed gallery' café space at Bath Spa University, Newton Park.

The event is a collaboration between the recently launched Society of Young Publishers South West branch and Bath Spa University's student magazine, milk.

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring together the South West’s most successful magazine brands, the creative energy of the independent magazine sector, and dynamic and skilled graduates and students from the region's universities.

Clare is the Director of Content Marketing at Future Publishing and has worked with leading global brands such as Intel, Warners, Universal, Virgin Holidays and Canon. She has more than ten years’ experience in the industry, and we are incredibly grateful that she’s taking the time to speak at our first event of the year.
Two new guest speakers have been announced for our networking event on Monday, 1st April. Editor and Art Director of Bumble, Rachael and Jo, have been kind enough to share their industry experience and talk to aspiring publishers.

Bumble is a volunteer-run, biannual magazine that focuses on the beauty of nature. They aspire to create a simple, straight-forward publication offering readers of all ages a chance to engage with nature, whilst educating them on the importance of the natural environment. They want to allow all, regardless of prior ecological knowledge, to understand and immerse themselves in the world around them.
