The brief for this task was to photograph the milk team in a cohesive and professional manner. Images needed to be curated for feature in the digital issue of the magazine. As such, an editing style was decided in collaboration with the Art Director. Copy was created by the team and edited by myself for length, consistency in tone of voice as well as clarity.

Edd - Editor in Chief

A frequent practitioner of curiosity, Edd loves finding out new things about the world, from history to tech, science to geography. He’s a joint Publishing and History student, and Editor of milk magazine. Edd can often be found looking at maps of somewhere he’s never heard of before. Naturally, this leads to the enjoyment of a pub quiz.

Oliver - Commissioning Editor for Culture and Entertainment

Oliver is a third-year Creative Writing and Publishing student who has a keen interest in indie magazines and publishing. He’s a simple guy who knows the difference between a Beluga Whale and a Narwhal.

Emma - Commissioning Editor for Lifestyle

Emma is a Commissioning Editor for the lifestyle section of milk magazine, and she studies Publishing with Media Communications. When she's not studying, she can usually be found doing one of the three things – practising yoga, eating gluten-free cake, or coming up with excuses as to why she needs to buy yet another indie magazine.

Chelsea - Social

Chelsea is a writer and postcard enthusiast. She’s a keen explorer of those unexpected intrusions of beauty in the southwest and the creative behind our social feeds. Chelsea has done many things for the ‘gram, but has a five-minute rule of taking pictures that involve food. Admire the cake by the taste, you know?

Emma - Commissioning Editor for Showcase

Emma Curtis is a Commissioning Editor for the Showcase section of milk magazine, and studies Publishing and Media. With a passion for photography and travelling, you can catch her mapping out her next trip of discovery with a good travel book in hand.

Rebekah Crook - Commissioning Editor for Lifestyle

Rebekah Crook is a Commissioning Editor for the Lifestyle section of milk magazine and studies Publishing and Creative Writing. She enjoys travelling, finding new places to explore and relaxing from the stresses of undergraduate life.

Gemma Nicholls - Commissioning Editor for Culture and Entertainment

Gemma Nicholls is a Commissioning Editor for the Culture and Entertainment section of milk, and she studies Creative Writing with Publishing. She enjoys drinking coffee from oversized mugs, knitting, and buying too many plants to fit in her tiny flat.

Mariah Roberts - Website Designer and Developer

This year, Mariah Roberts is in charge of making sure the website looks great and runs smoothly. She’s studying a joint degree in Creative Writing and Graphic Design but has a keen interest in publishing. You can either find her crafting something or catching up with the latest issue of New Scientist.

Lucy Potts - Newsletter Editor and Designer

Lucy is the Newsletter Editor and Designer for milk magazine, and studies a joint degree in Media Communications and Publishing. You can find her baking tasty treats or discovering new places to walk her dog.

Mia Howell - Commissioning Editor for News and Student News

Mia is a Commissioning Editor for the News and Student News section of milk. As a third-year Creative Writing student, Mia is currently working on her first young adult novel. She has a keen interest in television production and in her free time, she enjoys discovering new music and experimenting with fashion trends.

Brianna Henderson - Deputy Editor

Brianna is the Deputy Editor for milk magazine and studies Creative Writing. She likes to read and write children’s fiction and is currently writing her first young adult novel. In her spare time, she likes to run, bake sweet treats and think about her next writing project.

Mariah John-Leighton - Events Manager
